I was doing more research into palm symbols and what a certain symbol means on a certain mount. I looked up at some sources that say that a star on the mount of saturn indicates a violent death, and that a cross on the mount of saturn means a violent death too. I just want some professional insight; because I happen to have a star smack dab on my Saturn mount on my left hand (I do NOT write with my left hand) and I have a small cross on the mount of Saturn on my right hand (The right hand IS my dominant hand.) Please anyone can you give me any insight on this? Am a little scared because I don't want to have a violent death, like getting my head blown off or getting shot or something...

I also have a very, very small "x" at theend of my fate line; which I heard is also a bad omen of death. It's creeping me out!!!

Hello Sheerbliss,
I can inform that there is a lot of confusion, misunderstandings ... & debate around the symbols.
Is it possible to post a photo/inkprint of your hand? Because otherwise I am afraid it is quite impossible to help and inform you about what is really going on in your hand + the interpretation.
Best wishes from The Netherlands!
Martijn.

Hi New Research
Yeah I heard that too; but for the most part I've been researching in terms of the mount of saturn, a star in the mount means some kind of misfortune, terrible death, or death before someone's time. A cross also has a similar symbolism on the same mount. My palm (right) is posted in the thread immediately before this one where you can see that I outlined the lines of my hands. I can assure you that I have a star on my mount of saturn with one of the lines of the star being long and pointing down almost touching my heart line. And the cross on my left palm is sitting on top of a horizontal line; and the horizontal line is on top of two strong lines that cross the heart line.

Ok, I have found you hand-photo ... but I don't see any 'STAR' (marked) on the mount of Saturn:
Ps. A true 'star' is NOT connected to any other line!

No one in palmistry can predict death or the nature of the death (nor even astrology) - ofcourse all of us have to die.
Besides, how many articles from your research says this? And how many of them agree to that?

Thanks Hansi!
Yes Sheerbliss,
Besides a clear illustration of your star ... it will definitely help if you present us the source of your information!
(as you probably know, there are many sources on the internet which present info ... without any expertise in this field!)

Hi
No, it's not visible in the picture that I took because my camera doesn't take detailed pictures very well; which is why I HAD to outline the lines that I asked about it my previous thread. Although I didn't notice the star when I took the picture and checked my hand to outline the lines, I did notice it a couple of days ago; which was kind of creepy. And no analysis, the star that's not noticeable in the photograph but clearly noticeable when you see it personally is not attached to any lines in the mount. It's there all by itself. Can anyone tell me what it means?? I also learned that symbols and such can dissapear in a couple of weeks. Is this true or more bologna?

Hey Sheerbliss! What book have you been reading? Yikes! Actually, there are alot of books out there about palmistry back in the "old days" that tend to be very superstitious, dramatic and full of doom and gloom predictions. It's a shame because there is also alot of very good information there as well. Why don't you try reading some of the recommended books, like William Benham? Spend some time reading through the posts here on the site. Palmistry is not about horrible predictions of sudden death! Besides, the lines in your hands CAN and do change. We are certainly empowered to make choices that effect those lines.
Your hand looked quite nice! Full of the ups and downs that all of us have. The photo, unfortunately is a little unclear. I have tht problem with my camera, too. Keep asking questions, though and studying your hands using a variety of resources. Look for your good features and learn to used them!

Thanks Karla and nice to meet you.
I really appreciate that insight. Yeah I ran into a couple of books that were written in 1896, 1920's, 1950's, 1970's, 1990's and so forth. I just wanted some insight as to what a star on the mount of Saturn means. I was wondering if you can tell me what it means just so that I can have a clear indication instead of going from book to book with different meanings?

| Pamelah just had a great answer in the open forum that gives a link to "gift markings" including stars on Saturn. I had asked about markings on Jupiter. Perhaps reading that post may help?

Hi there,
In my studies, a cross on this mount means that you have or will have a challenge and maybe struggle with change, often overcome with effort. A star has been shown to be legal (law) or father problems (but certainly not a sign of death in this modern day).

Thank you Karla; I'll go and check that out right away.
Nice to meet you saage, and thanks for clarifying that for me.
I now feel a bit silly thinking that it was an omen of death, but thanks a lot you guys, you really helped me out

It's flipping impossible to see death on your hands!

Hi there,
I would not say it is 'impossible' but I would also never predict death on a persons hand, but it is certainly possible to note diseases which can lead to death, early warning devices which do predict death.

I am very dubious about making any attempts to predict death from random minor markings and signs in the hands. In fact, I don't believe it is possible.
However, I do agree with Sage that our hands can and do demonstrate our current state of health, which can be seen by making a careful analysis of, among several things, the skin texture, possible changes in the major lines and the appearance of auxilliary chance lines.
In my opinion, the idea that one can predict an untimely death in an otherwise healthy individual is something that should be avoided at all costs.
Sue
