When I found palmistry, it turned out to be the key to my healing work both for myself and others. It provides a map to see where blocks are in different places of ones life, and what challenges are in store and what strengths one has to tackle them. Any self-improvement is a spiritual work, whether we see it that way or not.
I like to read people's hands as their "Karmic" (passive) and Active hand, showing how they've taken on karmic challenges from others lives and this one, and made changes and done amazing things. I love looking for markings like the "crows foot", the ring of solomon, the jacob's ladder, the esp whorl, le croix mystique, and showing people where their spirit guides show up. And this has been reported to be true again and again!
For instance, one woman I read for had a life line that looked like a scar and was totally shadowed. I told her she had some kind of psychic demon clinging to her until she was 18 and she said that yes when she was 18 she had her tea leaves read and the reader said she had a devil on her back and she tooks steps to reclaim her space. It was reaffirming for her to hear it from me too, and she felt a huge boost of confidence.
Another example is a friend of mine who's spirit guide line showed up around 21, and ran with her the rest of her life. I told her this guide was of a person she knew in this world who was helping her. Turns out her boyfriend died when she was 21 and literally been with her ever since, coming to her through art and automatic writing.
The list is endless really, these are some of the things that keep me awed at all of the mystery of life!
My favourite author is Jon St.Germain , both Karmic Palmistry and Runic Palmistry. Karmic Palmistry seemed to fill in a lot of the gaps and questions I had regarding certain signs that other more scientific texts had left me with. (Benham is my bible though for the scientific bent and basic study.) I'd love to hear from anyone who has been getting into the Runic style reading as it resonated so completely with me it was like I'd known it all along and was just remembering...

I've never really taken a deep interest in spirituality mixed with palmistry. Perhaps because I'm not really 'with' any one religion so I don't try and look for special holy marks.
I am curious though about what to look for and other people's personal experiences with them. I think I'll lurk a bit here and see what the other posters own thoughts are on this subject. =)

Isn't it fascinating, how our hands representing us. People can change face and pretend to be a different person, however they can not change lines on their hands or finger prints.
I am not a palmist, however since childhood I was interesting in it. What also intrigues me is that anytime I want to read my own hand, I can not. I always find the lines and signs that I want to see and that will represent a person I want to be. That is why I always say to myself, is it true what I see, or is it what I want it to be? Very hard to find an answer.

An interesting post and one that I was drawn to immmediately as I am interested to see how palmistry and spirituality will mix in my life. I'd love to follow up the Karmic side, but not yet. As a total novice I feel I need to get an understanding of the very basics first!
Thank you,
Barbara

Well, I found that research always helped to improve the knowledge in any area of studies (especially in spiritual)
I also noticed that it is not that easy to find an answer to the questions and right direction in spiritual path without any preparations, training or practice.
I would say nothing comes over night, and with time and dedication we always reaching desirable results

Great topic ! I believe that everything that we experience in this Life has a Spiritual meaning, and if we can read the symbols presented to us in our experiences, then our paths will become clear. This has been the task of Mystics through the ages. Hand Reading seems to have wonderful possibilities in exploring our Spiritual natures, although I think that the purely rational, practical side of the Art must be mastered to some extent ,before we can approach the more esoteric . The subject of Intuition is very interesting to me. In a couple of readings, I have been told that I was exactly correct, when I made small intuited comments, but were they just lucky guesses ? Has anyone else used their Intuition ?. In the cases I just mentioned the intuitions/ guesses were concerning travel and ambition/job.
