A new study reported from the University of Melbourne presents:
A NEW means of measuring Digit Ratio:
The index/ring finger (2D:4D) ratio and its association with gender and hand preference.
Next to the new 'tube' method of measuring Finger Length, the results confirm an observation which has been reported in 2003 in de section Handedness - in left handed people the fingers of the left hand are usually longer compared to the right hand (and vice versa for right handed people).
