Does anyone have an island on their own life line that they can confirm a particular event / loss / depression other that actually occured?

If yes, what was it? and how long did it last?

I'm looking for common ground and variations to this unfavourable influence.

hello Saage,

it would be interesting to have some answer to your question...

I can say that my parents, they both have an island in their life life but near the end of it, and they lost a child (my brother) but 25 years ago.

So I do not know if it can refer to this event or not!

I hope somebody will give an experience.

I haven't come across an island in the life line which corresponds with a "hard time". However, I was looking at the palm of a singer a few years ago. She had a distinct island near the start of her destiny line. Apparently this island related to an unhappy relationship in her youth. I don't know why it showed up in her destiny line and not her life line.

Thanks,

I don't believe the island at the bottom would relate to the loss, but it would be interesting to know what they did have on their markings to mark the loss at the correct time.

PLEASE if anyone has an island, or have experienced one. We are keen to know more!

 :thanx

Welcome Tahir, please don't be worried by this long island. Lots of people mistakenly think island on lifeline is illness. There can be many possible reasons for islands, any kind of duality in your life. Can you post a picture please?

Thanks for the picture of your hand. Is it possible to get a clearer zoom in on the area around the "island"? From this picture I'm not even sure that it is an island. I can see how your fate line starts inside lifeline - where it emerges I can see some duality of the lifeline above and below it, but can't see exactly what is happening there.

I have a photo with similar island which seems to be formed by other lines, but still looks like and island. Anyone experienced one of these?

Hi Saage

I've seen an island like this in the hands of a woman who suffered a prolapsed womb in her late sixties.  She also had an island higher up the life line, with an influence line running across it from within Venus, (pretty much a loyalty line) which I associated with the death of her partner as it occurred around the time suggested on the life line.

The interesting thing is - now past these events - both islands have reduced in size, particularly the earlier one, suggesting that as the years pass, so has the impact of these events.

Sue

HI Tahir. I still can't see if it is an island. The lifeline forks and changes, taking a detour inside, which can be a time of 'restriction' in life such as less time "out in the world" and more focus on domestic life. The inner line is strong, but I can't tell what is happening where the outer fork passes the other line.

Islands can be any duality, feeling torn between two places, two people, work & home, two ways of living your life, 'juggling' things, a busy time where your energy is divided etc etc.

Saage's picture is much clearer. With Saage's it looks as if this period of duality / uncertainty leads to a crossroads, time to make decision on which path to take. There's a lot happening there saage! Before the island the lifeline looks strong energy, fast flowing line, things happening connected to the big effort line (could be acting as a new fate line?) and also another line going up (to mercury or apollo, can't tell from this pic). Whatever the dating is on that I would say be careful not to take on too much at that time. Because the lifeline is so strong, you could have bursts of energy doing this and that, then find you can't keep up the pace! It could lead to you then dispersing the energy and the island forms. Islands are not necessarily ill health but as the 'life force' is divided and energy reserves being used up, islands can lead to tiredness, lowered resistance & therefore can result in ill health.  But still the main part of your lifeline is strong even when it is going through the island, so I think it is less likely to affect health and more likely to be 'juggling' two lifestyles.

(edit) PS I didn't take into account the mercury line coming out of this island - so it could be health, or stress. If it is for the future, maybe it can be avoided depending on what you do in the five years or so leading up to this point.

Thanks Lynn,

Your comments sound like good advice, what do you think of the faint line crossing the life line before the island? There appears to be an angled box around it, forming kind of triangles, Or it could just be where the fate line passes through and has formed these lines.

This photo might help too, with regarding the health line going to mercury and the fate lines direction.

hi Saage, I think the angled box/triangles are just shapes formed where the influence line passes the fate line etc. They aren't independent squares or triangles.

The Mercury line isn't too bad, just a little striated but some relaxation can easily deal with the stress there!

What a difference in this picture - before I was talking about your lifeline being strong, on this second picture it is so faint I can hardly see the centre section! What I first thought was a fork on lifeline I can now see is the fate line supporting the lifeline for a time. In summary it appears to be a time of indecision and uncertainty, possibly involving another person, and because your lifeline is a bit weak for a while you live your life by the fate line, playing it by the book, duty/responsibility, work, going back to your roots or to tried and tested methods, and then later the lifeline is stronger and takes over again and you feel back on your path.

Thanks Lynn,

I agree with most of your comments, although the second scan was blurry which made the life line seem faint, but on a clearer picture, I believe you were right the first time, the life line is quite strong from the start of the island. The faint line crossing above it could be an obstacle (such as a loss) which possibly begins the whole process of the island forming.

Another theory may be that the fate line is actually weaving through the life line causing strange markings. But you are right, there is a LOT GOING ON THERE! Many influences surrounding the life causing changes of all sorts I'd say.

Here's possibly a clearer photo.

If anyone else has a comment on islands in this position, we would appreciate it, thanks in advance. :wink

Hi Saage,
Yes I do have an island on my life-line, corresponding to a severe depression as a teenager which lasted about 7 years. Wow, I've never written it out like that, that's a long time to be depressed... At the end of the island is where my head line separates from my life line. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say it's on my head line? Does anyone have a note on that?

Hello, and thanks for your reply

Your island (attached to head line) is a classic sign for depression and other feelings of not knowing what to do with one's life, being confused or forced to have a career which doesn't suit etc.. Hope you got over it and all is well.

I will continue my search for others with an island later in life.

Thanks for your reply,

The island you have is quite common, especially for someone who may have left school early and is confused about where life will take them. Depression can set in if the person was unable to find an outlet or something to focus on like career goals.

Every piece of information will help me, thanks anyway.

Anyone else have an island on their life line? Or know of someone who has?

Hi just saw this now.  I have an island at the beginning of my life line (and a big island in the middle of it).  Pics posted on the main forum.

Here is a closer pic.

Had a really hard time when I went to university till I guess mid 20's.  Does it correspond to the time line for the island on the life line.

As said on my main post though, I never use to have an island there and it only seem to have appeared recently.

Hello,

Thanks for the pic. I would agree that the first island at the start of your life line does correspond to that age when you were at uni. And it makes sense if you had a hard time. Your island later in the line would be about the ages 40 onwards, but Are you left handed? Is the picture your left hand? And do you have the same island on your other hand?

:wink

here is my main post

http://www.internationalcollegeofpalmistry.com/forum/forum126/3387.html

I am right handed but for some reason was always told to read my left palm instead of my right palm.

Also, the island on my left hand were never there until a few years ago.  I do not have an island on my life line on my right palm.

Similarly, there is an island at the beginning of my fate line where I lost a lot of money on the dot com crash which I only paid off last year.  There is no island on my right hand either.

I don't think the lines on my right palm is very accurate.

Hi all!

I have been searching for answers regarding "islands" and I am so glad I found this forum! I have an island on my left hand palm, underneath the life line....It worries me alot, bc I hope this time in my life passes, and I come out of this! I have had basically a really rough time since I was 15, nine years have past, I am hoping this "bad period" is over by 26,27.  The "island" is on the line of mars, below the life line, after the island ends, the line of mars continues....what do you think this would mean? Does it mean that this is just a period of time, and then I regain my health/sanity after its over?

When I was fifteen I fell due to a skiing accident, since then I have been having bone joint problems on the left side, and diminished hearing....The funny thing is no doctors can figure out exactly whats up. I have been really down for a long time now, since it seems to get worse every year or two...Anyways let me know what you all think about this...Does it match up to the life line years?  (Bc these things started when I was 15, seems like they might go till about 26, 27? I have had basically alot of sadness, emotional times, and somehow since I am losing some hearing I think it does affect my overall health and concentration...I am going to try and post a picture....

I have outlined the island with Light Blue, and the continuation of the line of mars with light purple...
