Hello,

A quick story about me: I was born in Finland and moved to Australia with my family at the age of ten. My mother was an artist/painter and so I have taken on many of her traits. She showed me how to read cards at the age of nine and my interest in palmistry began at the early age of 11 through a friend of the family who was a Palmist. When she read my palms and told me I was going to have four children, I laughed! But... I was hooked, what a wonderful phenomenon was this palmistry. I spent several years wondering and finally began reading up on the subject.

As I grew up, my career life chopped and changed a lot while I tried to discover myself. As I learned more and more about my own talents, I became more motivated towards palmistry. Today I paint whenever I can, (the Marilyn Monroe is one) and I have clients for palm and card readings. And yes, I did have those four children too. In between mad housework, I wrote a book called "Claim Your Power" and hope to write another one in the future (probably about palmistry).

I believe we can never stop learning, after more than twenty years, I still learn something new every day.

First of all, that is a terrific painting of Marilyn Monroe. I think you captured the eyes very well. Great story, I have a bunch of kids too, and I am intrigued about your book title, what is the theme of the book, is it fiction or non-fiction? Thanks for sharing with the group.

Hi there Den,

Claim Your Power is a book about how to succeed in your life with little effort, and getting motivated to discover what it is you want to do with your life.

I wrote it in 2002 and revised it a few years after. Unfortunately it is no longer in print. BUT.. the moment I get the chance, it will be! I published it myself so it didn't get to go worldwide. Maybe I will search for another publisher one day. I just need to read the book again to get motivated to do it, ha!

I guess I simply wrote about anything and everything that was of interest to me at the time, so it has advice for motivation, help with fears and obstacles, meditations, crystals, healing etc..

:)

Wow, sounds great. If you know my bio, I have studied personal development and psychology for years. I think that is terrific. I think the title is excellent choice of words, maybe you will give me your autograph someday on your bookstore tour.:clap
Nice to dream about at least. :)

Regards,

Den

Thanks for the positive feedback :thumbup

Good on you for studying psychology, I think that's great. My sister is a psychologist and she gave my book the thumbs up. A lot of people have a natural talent for understanding the psych. so taking it further is a wise choice - especially if you get the $100k p/a income!

Have you checked your own palm for postive markings towards psychology?

There are probably signs of "needing a psychologist" in my hand.:titter

I thought about returning to college at one time and getting a counseling degree of some kind, but once the kids came, that was pushed aside of course.

But seriously, what would you recommend to look for as signs of that interest?

Regards,

Den

You're so funny! You'd probably make a good comedian..., anyway, if you were in need of a psych, you would probably have a wobbly/broken up/ or long downward headline (going to your extreme mt lunar) and a quite small weak thumb, with pointed fingertips, ....

But since you are definitely not insane, for a psychologist type I would firstly look for:

1. Practical shape hand with straight fingers (at least not overly bent fingers in general)

2. Firm skin tone with fairly flexible hands.

3. Well formed venus mount.

4. The skin ridges to have a loop of common sense between the apollo and saturn.

5. Strong (but not execessive index finger).

6. Clean, neat unbroken head line.

7. Equal size 1st and 2nd phalanges on the thumb and normal-long size, not short.

8. The three lines on your mercury mount (medical stigmata).

9. Nicely formed mercury mount and finger length.

10. Finger prints count too, they should mostly be loops, some whorls ok.

phew.. (I thinkI just described my own hand?) Well... except for the pinky, mines not very long.

And that's a start, there's still other fine lines to look for such as checking the apollo and saturn lines for good motivation.

Let me know how you measure up?

How about Ring of Solomon / empathy line on Jupiter mount. People who are naturally good at / studied psychology (or 'alternative psychology' such as hand reading) have this.

A nice list of features to look over and thanks Saage. I was reading over the list and started to see the mental image of my freshman psych professor at college. He had clean, little tidy hands, almost creepy. Anyway, the fingerprints are intriguing to think about. This is kind of new to me, but I like the fact that you have the extra layer of info for the reading. I will have to explore that some more. I do have many of the characteristics you listed.

Hi Lynn, I do not have the ring of solomon, but my wife does have that feature. That is probably why she is the smart one around here. Anyway...

I remember reading about the empathy lines on jupiter, but I cannot recall the formation of it. I will have to look it up. Great suggestions.

Regards,

Den

Empathy lines run usually from the top of the life line, over the jupiter mount and diagonally across towards the mount of saturn. I have them, about three or four lines is average. Often there are opposite diagonal lines towards the jupiter finger which form the teachers square.

Saage, do you differentiate between the interpretation of the Ring of Solomon & the empathy line? I know traditionally ring of solomon is supposed to show some kind of mystic powers, but actually I find it on people who are good at psychology & understanding people. So I tend not to see much difference between interpretation of empathy (straight diagonal) and solomon (curved) lines. My reasoning behind it is that when the "meanings" for the Ring of Solomon were written, psychology hadn't been 'invented' or 'discovered' as a subject, so anyone who had good natural intuitive understanding of people and what makes them tick, could have been seen to have 'special powers' ??? what do you think?

Well, I have the empathy lines, straight. I've never before considered that the solomon ring would be the same, but I do have very good intuition and psychic gifts so maybe you have something there. But I also believe my mysticism comes from my mother who is a spiritual mystic. She does not do paid work in the field or class herself as a 'professional' but she is amazing like an angel on earth! I'll check her hands next time I see her to see which markings she has and I'll get back to you.

:wink
