Hey Ya'll,
Is anyone out there into runes? I know you are Tobias, and thank you for the recommendation of Edred Thorsson's Runcaster's Handbook. They're a real trip, in fact they've taken me on a wayward journey leaving palmistry in shadow for about a year and a half.
I got into them via Jon St.Germain's "Runic Palmistry", super awesome! I fell right into step with the Germanic style, like pulling off the veil you know? Has anyone else read that book?
The runes are intense. There's no way to really vicariously experience them. Get into the vicera... I was working with Isa in April, got my foot all mashed up, having slipped on a spilt drink in the bar, and when I went back to check it out in the book it said: "often like a slippery floor, all activities must come to a halt" among other things. I now 'fondly' refer to it as the slippery floor rune.  Uruz (reindeer runs over frozen-aka slippery-ground) is helping with that, but it took me months to really absorb the teachings. A lot about slowing down, healing, reassessing life, what direction am I going, is it really the way, all that.
Mannaz  has led me back into palmistry! It came up strong in a vision/meditation speaking of hands being the key to people, and people are the key to mending the weave; we have a responsibility to earth as the caretakers, then we can move on in our evolution as a species.
tripping out...
Incidentally, does anyone have an opinion on Nathanial Altman's "little giant encyclopedia of palmistry?" It landed on me when Manaz came up. That and Australia...

Thanks sue! It's good to be back, I don't get much time during the season for forums, being a performer I travel a lot and that kind of thing. You''ll see me more come the fall.
